Description
The steps and urns located to the east of the fountain, west of the Royal Wolverhampton School, were built in 1864. They are constructed from ashlar and feature three steps with an urn on a plinth at each end. The plinths have cartouches on the front and back displaying the initials "MR," with consoles on the sides. Deeply moulded caps support shallow urns that are decorated with acanthus motifs. This fountain is a memorial to Mary Rogers, the wife of one of the directors of the orphanage, recognized for her charitable contributions to the orphans.
