Description

This is a disused drinking fountain located 150 meters east of Meersbrook Park House, dated 1891. It was erected by the Society of United Oddfellows in memory of William Westran and made by AJ & S Eaton of Intake. The fountain is constructed from ashlar and pink granite in an eclectic style. It features a square canopy with an entablature, pediment, and acroteria, supported by four round granite columns with foliage capitals, moulded bases, and square pedestals. Steps are situated between the columns. Under the canopy, there is a square block with a chamfered top and an inscription, which once held the fountain.
