Description
The steps and urns, located to the west of the fountain at the Royal Wolverhampton School, were constructed in 1864. They are made of ashlar and consist of three steps, with an urn on a plinth at each end. The plinths feature cartouches on the front and back displaying the initials "MR," and have consoles on the sides. Deep moulded caps support shallow urns that are decorated with acanthus motifs. The fountain is a memorial to Mary Rogers, the wife of one of the directors of the orphanage, who was recognized for her charitable work with the orphans.
