Description

This is a cross base, assumed to be medieval, located approximately 3 metres south of the Church of St Michael. It was moved to its current position from the site of the church hall in the 1980s. The cross base is made of sandstone and has an octagonal shape. The upper part is set on a base consisting of two steps. The upper section features a torus moulding and is partly repaired with mortar and rubble. Notably, the year "1829" is roughly carved on its southern side.
