Description
Mayfield House is a house that has been converted into a school. It was built in the early to mid-19th century and is constructed from stuccoed brick. The building features a symmetrical design with three storeys and three bays, including an attic storey above the cornice. The windows are sash style, with glazing bars still present on the first and second floors. There is a sill band on the first floor, and the main entrance door is flanked by narrow vertical lights and topped with a fanlight. The porch is supported by unfluted Greek Doric columns. Inside, there is a stone dog-leg staircase that features cast iron balusters.
