Description

Moat House, formerly known as Moat Farmhouse, is a late 16th century or early 17th century building located on Truggist Lane in Berkswell. It features a timber frame with red brick nogging and a stone base, topped with a tiled roof. The back wing has been refaced in red brick. The house is two storeys high and has flush casement windows that include glazing bars, narrow wood mullions, and transoms. A large central red brick chimneystack in a Y plan design is a prominent feature. Moat House and the adjacent barn are part of a group.
