Description
This building is a barn, now used as a workshop, located approximately 20 metres west of Oak House. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a tile roof. The barn features a wide cart entrance with an elliptical brick arch and stone impost blocks. To the left of the facade, there is a wide inserted doorway with a steel lintel, and a lower gabled wing projects forward from its left side. The right side of the facade is covered by a single-storey modern lean-to. At first floor level, there are two modern timber casement windows on each side of the main entrance. The facade also includes a brick dentil course and gable openings. Inside, the barn has brick walls flanking the cart entrance, and two trusses are visible, featuring tie-beams and raking queen-struts. Some of the roof timber has been reused from a timber-framed building of a similar type that is located to the west.
