Description

Swinford Old Hall is a mid-18th century building located on Church Road in Old Swinford. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring five windows adorned with keyblocks and scrolled lintels. The central window is a Venetian style, set within an open pediment, while the window directly above it is a semi-circular three-light design, also with a scrolled lintel. The entrance boasts a moulded wood doorcase topped with an open pediment supported by consoles. A plaster corbelled cornice wraps around the central pediment and parapet, with plain pilasters on the sides. The surrounding listed buildings on Church Road and Rectory Road contribute to a cohesive historical picture that should be preserved.
