Description
The Conservative Club, built in the mid-18th century, is a red brick building that stands three storeys tall. It features five sash windows, with the central windows having later lintels and dripstones. The entrance is marked by a convex porch supported by four Ionic columns, topped with a central dentilled pediment. The building is adorned with stone bands, a dentilled cornice, and a central pediment, along with a parapet. The sides of the building, specifically Nos 2 and 4, retain original windows set in broad frames with keyblocks and plain lintels, complemented by plain side pilasters, a moulded stone cornice, and a pilastered brick parapet. Additionally, there is a two-storey belvedere that features two arched windows.
