Description
St Edmund's Church of England School is a mid-19th century building constructed from coursed freestone. It has two storeys, a basement, and an attic beneath a gabled roof. The façade features two slightly projecting gabled bays. The left bay contains a stone mullioned window with a square hood mould and diamond pattern cast iron glazing bars, along with a plain doorway. The right bay has a doorway with a four-centred arched head and three tall windows with transoms above them. There are two lateral chimney stacks that rise from ground level, plain eaves, and tiled roofing. The side facing Castle Hill is of similar architectural character.
