Description

This folly tower and sections of surrounding rubble wall date from the 1820s and 1830s. It was originally built as a folly within the grounds of a house on Wellington Road, but now stands in the garden of Spring Cottage and is in separate ownership. The tower is two stories high, constructed of ironstone rubble, and is circular with crenellations along the top. It features arched openings. To the west of the tower are sections of rubble wall designed to resemble a curtain wall, originally extending further towards the original villa.
