Description
Nos 6 and 7 on Sir Harry's Road are a pair of semi-detached villas built around 1830-1840. They are made of stucco and feature recessed entrance bays with coach houses on either side. The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-bay main block. They sit on a plinth and have a first-floor sill course. The hipped slate roof has shallow flat eaves and is topped with corniced stucco chimney stacks that have ornamental pots.
On the ground floor, the windows are set within very shallow camber arched panels that extend down to the plinth. The first-floor windows are plain revealed and all have glazing bar sashes. Each entrance bay is defined by three pilasters that articulate the ground floor, with composite capitals supporting a deep panelled frieze that leads up to a returned sill course. No 7 retains its original arrangement, featuring a six-panel door with a rectangular marginal glazed fanlight. No 6 has a two-storey porch built around 1850, supported by square Tuscan piers. The flanking coach houses are set further back, are low but two storeys high, and have segmental arched coach doors.
