Description
The public convenience located on the pavement in front of The Cannon Hill Public House dates from around 1890 and is a large freestanding gentleman's convenience typical of Birmingham's design from that period. It features cast iron panels adorned with geometric and scrolled grotesque patterns. The structure is supported by cast iron ribs, which were once glazed, and it has an ornate tent-shaped vent with scrolled finials and a pierced work valance. The convenience has a two bay panel depth and is a well-preserved example of its type.
