Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century cottages, built as part of the Calthorpe Estate, situated at right angles to Westfield Road. The cottages are constructed of brick with a slate roof and a central chimney stack. They are one storey high with an attic. The ground floor features a symmetrical arrangement of windows and doors: two-light windows, a door, then two three-light windows, another door, and finally two two-light windows. Each window has a dripmould above it. Dormer windows with slated cheeks are set into the roof, positioned above and between the doors and the three-light windows. All windows are casements with iron lattice glazing.
