Description
37 Bennett's Hill is a building dating from around 1868 to 1870, featuring a stucco Italianate front. It is three storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor includes an entrance with a rectangular fanlight set in a moulded surround, flanked by two windows that have a moulded band at the level of their springing and bold keystones. The window on the right is adorned with elaborate brackets and foliage in the arch. On the first floor, there are three arched windows that rest on a moulded cornice, framed with roundels in their spandrels and topped with heavy pediments that are triangular, segmental, and triangular. The second floor also has three windows, which stand on a moulded cornice and are set within eared moulded surrounds. The building is finished with a decorative frieze and a bracketed eaves cornice.
