Description
No. 5 Bennett's Hill is a Grade II listed building, constructed in 1827, possibly designed by Charles Edge. This stucco terrace features four storeys plus a later attic, with each house having two bays framed by pilasters on either side. The ground floor includes round-headed doorways with fanlights and tripartite windows on either side, all separated by Tuscan pilasters that support entablatures. The first and second floors have sash windows, with the first-floor windows having flat surrounds and being taller than those above. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course, along with two attic dormer windows. Notably, No. 1 has five storeys, while No. 5 is distinguished by a bust positioned centrally over the entablature, flanked by volutes.
