Description
Temple Buildings, located at 20A Temple Street, is an early to mid-19th century structure that has been altered. The building is finished in stucco and stands three storeys tall. Its facade features a rhythm of windows arranged in a pattern of 1:1:2, along with a curved corner bay. The ground floor has a modern shop front and an entrance that includes a beaten copper door from around 1900, set within a wooden case topped with a segmental hood. The first and second floors each have four windows, with the second-floor windows being three panes deep compared to the four panes of the first floor, and blank panels located below them. The building is topped with a moulded eaves cornice supported by coupled brackets. To the left, Nos 49, 50, and 50A New Street feature a similar five-bay treatment, arranged in a rhythm of 2:1:1:1.
