Description
Packwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later encasements from the 18th and 19th centuries, along with some 20th-century alterations. The building features an 18th-century brick plinth and 19th-century red brickwork, with roughcast that is likely applied over timber-framing in the cross-gables. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a cross-gabled design, topped by a central brick ridge stack. The farmhouse is two stories high and has a three-window range. There is a 20th-century sash door at the center, which is sheltered by a 20th-century open porch. The ground and first floors have 20th-century casement windows. Some fragmentary timber-framing can be seen on the left return and at the rear of the building. Inside, there is a straight flight staircase leading from the ground to the first floor, and open fireplaces are present in the left and right rooms on the ground floor.
