Description

This is a barn dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, located 50 yards south of Alderham Farmhouse. It features a timber frame with brick infill panels, standing on a sandstone plinth. The barn has a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends and consists of three bays. The central bay has paired wooden doors on both the west and east sides. Attached to the west side of the south bay is a later outshut, which also has timber framing with brick. Inside, the barn includes collar and tie beam trusses with angle struts.
