Description
30 Bath Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with a flat above. It was built between 1818 and 1836 and has undergone later additions and alterations, including a ground floor and shop front from the mid to late 20th century. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in English Garden Wall bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof and features a cast-iron balcony.
The structure stands three storeys tall and has two windows on the first floor. The first-floor windows are 6/9 full-height sashes, set beneath an ovolo-moulded cornice. The second floor has 3/6 sashes, all of which are in plain reveals. The building has a low parapet with copings and a peaked roof, along with an end stack. Notably, the first floor features a continuous balcony with a double-heart-and-anthemion motif made by the Carron Company.
The interior has not been inspected. Historically, Bath Street was a main street in the 18th century village of Leamington. This building forms a group with Nos 26 and 28.
