Description

No. 54 Queen Street is a cottage dating from around the 17th century, built with a timber frame and painted brick infill panels. It stands on sandstone foundations and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends. Although the roof has been raised by 2 feet, the original moulded wall plates, which are supported on moulded console brackets, are still intact. The cottage has modern windows, specifically casements with glazing bars, and has undergone significant renovations. There is one brick chimney stack located against the east elevation.
