Description
The Manor is a late 18th century red brick house that incorporates an earlier 17th century timber-framed structure. The ground floor is faced in sandstone ashlar, with stone quoins and keyblocks, all set on a stone plinth. It features a brick modillion eaves cornice and a steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone coped gable ends. The building is L-shaped in plan, consisting of two storeys and an attic.
On the ground floor, there are two segmental-headed windows, each with six-light mullion-transom casements that have leaded panes. Additionally, there are two modern single-light casements with leaded panes and a later rectangular bay with modern metal casements that also have leaded panes. A six-panel door, located two steps up, is topped by a rectangular fanlight. The house has two chimney stacks, one of which is made of stone and projects from the north gable.
Inside, the timber-framing of the earlier structure can be seen on the ground and first floors of the middle bay, along with chamfered ceiling beams.
