Description
The Vicarage, built in 1821 at a cost of £1,200, is a two-storey building constructed of red brick, featuring a low pitched slate roof with hipped ends and wide projecting eaves. The building has a square plan, with a later addition to the east that matches the original style. The entrance is located on the west elevation and includes a portico supported by a pair of Tuscan Doric columns and a pair of attached Doric pilasters, which hold up an entablature. The entrance features a four-panel door beneath an ornate rectangular fanlight. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and rendered cills; those on the south elevation are set in moulded architraves. The one-bay later addition that projects forward has a tripartite sash window on the ground floor and a sash window above, both also in moulded architraves.
