Description
The Granville Arms Public House, located at No 52 on Wellesbourne Road in Barford, is an early 19th-century brick building. It features a modern concrete tile roof with gabled ends and stands three storeys tall with three bays. The central entrance consists of a 19th-century six-panel door set within a pilastered doorcase, which is topped with an entablature and cornice supported by consoles. On either side of the entrance, there are splayed bays, each containing three sash windows with glazing bars. Each of the first and second floors also has three sash windows with glazing bars, all featuring rusticated lintels. The first and second floor windows have modern pairs of louvred shutters. The building is capped with two brick ridge chimney stacks at the gables. Additionally, there is a late 19th-century red brick lean-to at the south gable, which has one bay and includes a sash window with glazing bars and a pair of modern louvred shutters.
