Description

This is a house dating from around the 17th century, located on Bridge Street in Barford. It is constructed of red brick with a stone plinth. The steeply pitched roof is covered in plain tiles and has gabled ends featuring kneelers. A decorative dentil brick cornice runs along the eaves. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three bays across the front.

A central six-panel door is accessed by three steps and sits beneath a rectangular fanlight. The door is framed by pilasters and a pediment supported on consoles. Cross mullion and transom windows with metal casements and leaded panes are found on both sides of the door and on the first floor. All windows are set within segmental brick arches and have rendered cills. Two dormers, each with a two-light casement, are built into the roof. Brick chimney stacks rise centrally from the gable ends.
