Description
31 Regent Grove is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone later additions and alterations, including a shop front added in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facades and has a concealed roof.
It stands three storeys tall and features three first-floor windows, along with a single-storey outshot at the rear. The design includes two outer broad but shallow projections that extend to full height. On the first floor, there is a continuous sill band that is interrupted by the entrance. The tall 6/6 sash windows have eared surrounds and sills with feet. The building also features a frieze, cornice, blocking course, and copings.
On the ground floor, the remains of a central projection display a chamfered, four-centred arch, although this area is mostly interrupted by shop windows. The building has end stacks with cornices and a rear stack. The interior has not been inspected.
