Description
Eddon House is a mid-17th century house built from limestone ashlar, featuring quoins and coped gables. It has a stone slate roof with ashlar end and external stacks, which are set diagonally. The house has two storeys plus a gabled attic and is arranged in a two-window range with a two-unit plan.
At the center, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a 20th-century lintel. On either side of the door, there are four-light mullioned windows with a king mullion. On the first floor, there is an identical four-light mullioned window to the left, and a three-light mullioned window to the right. The walls rise into two gables, each featuring a two-light mullioned window. Each gable end has two two-light mullioned windows on the ground and first floors, along with a one-light stone window at the top of the right gable end. All the mullioned windows have hood moulds and label stops.
At the rear, there is a painted lead 'Sun' firemark inscribed with the number 84282. A large 18th-century stone range at the rear is noted but is not of special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
