Description
The building is a coach house and stables located approximately 50 meters west of Meon Hall, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of worn ironstone ashlar on a limestone ashlar plinth, topped with hipped roofs made of slate and stone slate, forming an L-plan structure.
The exterior features a single storey plus an attic with a three-window range. There is a central forward break with a first-floor lintel band on a cornice. The central entrance is segmental-headed and has 20th-century plank doors, with a loading door above it. Flanking this entrance are giant round-headed recesses, each with segmental-headed entrances and round-headed windows above. To the right, there is a single-storey range with a parapet over two round-headed arches, which have blind tympana above 20th-century doors. The right return has a stone slate roof.
The left return is partially obscured by a later single-storey farm building, which hides two giant recesses, including one blocked round-headed window. The rear of the building has two altered and blocked recesses, with a rear wing that has giant recesses and an entrance at the right end. The first floor features three old cross-casements, and the stone slate roof has a pitch, while the left return has a slate roof pitch that extends as a catslide roof over part of the single-storey range.
The interior has not been inspected.
