Description

Church House is a building that includes two houses and church rooms, dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The Church House section is a late 19th to early 20th century addition to the front of a former coach house from the 18th or 19th century. The structure features timber framing with exposed close studding and plaster infill, visible on the first floor and gable of No. 13 only. Church House is constructed of brick, while Nos. 15 and Church House have plastered ground floors and decorative sham timber framing on the first floor. The roof is tiled, with some old tiles present, and there are brick stacks at the rear.

The building has an E-plan layout and is two storeys high, with a six-window range. No. 13 features a mid to late 19th-century shop front that includes a 20th-century studded door with an overlight, wood pilasters, and a fascia. The first floor has a mid-20th-century casement window and a cross gable. No. 15 has a six-panelled door set in a moulded wood surround, along with a plank door leading to a passage. The ground floor includes a 16-pane sash window, while the first floor has a 19th-century iron casement window. Church House has a six-panelled door with an overlight and a wooden doorcase with simple pilasters, as well as a large canted bay and four 2-light windows on the first floor. At the rear, No. 13 features a long timber-framed wing, and No. 15 displays exposed framing. The interior of No. 15 showcases exposed framing, while the front range of Church House consists of a single two-storey room.
