Description

This house, located approximately 5 meters northeast of Billesley Manor Hotel, is now used for hotel staff accommodation. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations. The building is constructed from coursed blue lias rubble with some brick, and it features a half-hipped roof covered with renewed tiles and a brick stack at the front of the ridge.

The exterior consists of two storeys and has a two-window range. The north elevation includes a round-headed entrance at the right end within a doorcase. The windows have brick segmental heads; the left windows are blind, while those on the right feature 3-light small-paned casements with iron opening casements. There is a small single-storey outshut at the right end, which has an end stack, a return entrance, and a 2-light small-paned window.

On the left return, there is another round-headed entrance flanked by 3-light small-paned casements. The first floor has two segmental-headed windows with 20th-century casements, likely flanking a blocked pitching hole made of brick. The rear of the building has ground floor windows with 2-light small-paned casements and narrow first-floor windows with leaded casements.

The interior has not been inspected. The building may have originally served as a farm structure. It is included for its group value with Billesley Manor Hotel and the barn.
