BILLESLEY

SP15NW House approx. 5m north-east of 1931-1/1/4 Billesley Manor Hotel

GV II

House, now used for hotel staff accommodation. Late C18 with later alterations. Coursed blue lias rubble with some brick; half-hipped renewed tile roof with brick stack to front of ridge. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. North elevation has round-headed entrance to right end within doorcase; windows have brick segmental heads, those to left blind, those to right with 3-light small-paned casements with iron opening casements; small single-storey outshut to right end has end stack and return entrance and 2-light small-paned window. Left return has round-headed entrance and flanking 3-light small-paned casements; first floor has 2 segmental-headed windows with C20 casements flanking, probably, a pitching hole blocked with brick. Rear has windows to ground floor with 2-light small-paned casements and narrow windows to first floor with leaded casements. INTERIOR: not inspected. Possibly originally a farm building. Included for group value with Billesley Manor Hotel and barn (qv).
