Description
Suncroft is a cottage, possibly originally two separate homes, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. It has a four-unit plan with the gable end facing the road and stands two storeys high, displaying a four-window range. The entrance, located in the second bay, consists of a plank door and an open timber porch topped with a thatched hood. The windows include old leaded two-light casements as well as some 20th-century casements, with varying window levels due to the steeply sloping site. The wood lintels are painted. There is a 19th-century addition on the right side, along with a 20th-century single-storey addition at the front. The left side facing the road has 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
