Description

The Manor is a manor house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with later alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone and features a tile roof, with a stone stack on the left and a brick ridge stack. The building is designed in an L-shape, with a wing extending to the rear on the left side. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range.

The central porch, which dates from the mid to late 19th century, has a chamfered four-centred archway, and the return sides feature small ogee lancet windows. The entrance includes a half-glazed door set within stone chamfered mullioned windows that have hood moulds; the ground floor has a five-light window, while the upper floor has a four-light window with a two-light central window. The return sides also have two-light mullioned windows in the attic.

On the right return side, there is a four-window range. The wing includes two-storey, three-light bay windows on both the left and right sides, with small single lights on the sides. The windows have stone mullions with drip moulds and are topped with moulded cornices and tile roofs.

Inside, the property is said to feature a large stone moulded four-centre arched fireplace, with late 18th-century fluted Doric pilasters supporting a shelf. There is also a 19th-century straight flight staircase.
