Description
The Folly is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a string course. The old tile roof has stone-coped gable parapets and brick end stacks. The building is L-shaped, with a wing on the right side at the rear. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed four-panelled door with an overlight, sheltered by an open timber porch that has a glazed gable and tile roof. The windows are 19th-century horned sashes, and the brick arches above them are painted with keyblocks. The left side of the building is rendered, and there is a segmental arched casement on the ground floor, along with a two-light casement in the attic. The rear wing is one storey and has an attic. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly known as the Bull and Butcher Inn.
