Description

Stone House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Baldwins Lane in Upper Tysoe. The house is constructed of ironstone ashlar with quoins, a moulded eaves cornice, and coped gables. It has a tile roof and stone stacks. The house is three storeys high and has a four-window range. The plan is based on four units. 20-pane iron casements are present to the ground and first floors on the left and centre-left of the facade. The third floor has two eight-pane sashes. Openings have quoined surrounds, stone sills and lintels with keyblocks. To the right and centre-right are two- and three-light iron casements, with the first-floor right casement blocked and featuring chamfered wood lintels. A lead firemark is positioned above the blocked doorway. The interior range to the right of the former doorway includes chamfered spine beams with ogee stops, and an iron grate decorated with festoons in bas relief. C20 entrances have been added to the rear of the property.
