Description

There are two chest tombs located approximately 9 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Peter in Welford-on-Avon. These tombs date from the late 18th century, likely from the 1770s, and are similar to another tomb to the north of the chancel that is dated 1777. They are made of ashlar stone and feature moulded plinths and slab edges, with angle balusters and panels that have scrolly Rococo framing. The inscriptions on the tombs are worn and difficult to read.
