Description

This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 30 metres north-northeast of Shelfield Park Farmhouse. The barn is timber-framed, featuring large framing with tension braces and brick infill, with weatherboarding above a brick plinth. It has an old tile roof and comprises four bays. A plank door is situated in the third bay, and a pitch hole is present in the first bay. At the rear of the barn, two bays on the right-hand side have been underbuilt in brick below the weatherboarding, with a pitch hole containing a door. The interior includes jowled posts, retaining walls and braces, and a central post. It has a queen post roof. The barn forms part of a group which includes a shelter shed and Shelfield Park Farmhouse.
