Description
Longdon Manor's shelter shed and stable, located approximately 10 meters east of the manor house, date from the 18th century. The structure is built of squared, coursed limestone with brick gable ends and features an old tile roof. It consists of six bays, with the roof supported by chamfered, tapering limestone pillars. On the left side, there is a stable that includes a plank stable door and an opening to the left. Inside, the roof is a pegged through purlin design with collars, and the timbers are marked with incised Roman construction numerals. Attached to the right is an additional shelter shed with nine bays, also featuring an old tile roof supported by hood pillars with stone plinths. The interior includes rubbed brick pilasters on the rear wall that correspond to the pillars, and it has a pegged queen strut roof with collars.
