Description

Compton Scorpion Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of limestone ashlar with a plinth and moulded eaves cornice. It has coped gables with kneelers, a concrete tile roof, and stone end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front. The plan is T-shaped. A plank door is centrally positioned within a four-centred chamfered arch, and is sheltered by a stone porch with a four-centred archway, and a pointed light on either side. Large three-light mullioned windows flank the door on the ground floor. The first floor has a three-light mullioned window to the left and right, and a two-light mullioned window in the centre. Each window is protected by a moulded hood. A further range extends to the rear, incorporating mullioned windows. The interior remains uninspected.
