Description
These are two cottages, originally a house, located approximately 60 meters southeast of Sutton Brailes Manor House. They date from the late 17th century and are constructed from squared coursed limestone with a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side. The building features brick ridge and end stacks and has a four-unit plan. It is two stories high and has a four-window range with 19th-century two-light casements that have wooden lintels, along with 20th-century casements. There is one two-light casement below the eaves on the right that retains its original leaded lights. The right gable end includes a 20th-century door and a 20th-century casement. At the rear, there are 20th-century French doors and an 18th-century plank door. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered spine beams with stepped stops.
