Description
Primrose Farmhouse is a late 17th and 18th century farmhouse, with a 19th-century addition on the left and subsequent alterations. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice, with the right half having a stone plinth. The tile roof has stone-coped gable parapets and brick end and ridge stacks. The house follows an F-plan with wings to the rear and has two storeys and a four-window front. A mid-20th century glazed porch is located in the third bay, leading to a four-panelled door with an earlier leaded overlight incorporating bars. All windows have brick flat arches with keystones. Inside, the kitchen has a reduced open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer and stop-chamfered ceiling beams. The first floor contains three-plank doors with strap hinges.
