Description

This is a house, later used as a shop, dating from around 1818. It is constructed of brick with buff brick headers and has a tile roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building is three storeys high and arranged symmetrically with a three-window front. A decorative brick cornice with modillions sits at the top of the facade. The shop front, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, features canted bay windows on either side of the entrance, all framed by an entablature. The entrance itself is marked by an architrave, frieze, and cornice above a later six-panel door. On the first floor are segmental-headed windows with twelve-pane sashes, with a blind window in between. The second floor has similar windows, but with six-pane sashes. A rear wing is present, containing a chimney stack.
