Description
The Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century building that was originally two houses but is now one. It features painted brick with some timber framing and painted brick infill, topped with a hipped thatched roof. There is a brick stack at the rear of the ridge and an end stack. The layout consists of a three-unit plan, with a catslide outshut to the left and a late 20th-century single-storey L-plan range to the right.
On the exterior, the entrance is located to the right of the center and has a 20th-century door with a small light. To the left of the entrance is a canted bay window with leaded glazing, all sheltered by a tiled hipped pentice. To the right, there is a segmental-headed window with a three-light small-paned casement, and at the right end, a window with a two-light leaded casement. The left end features a similar leaded casement. The attic includes three eyebrow dormers with two-light small-paned casements and a small square light to the left of center. The interior has not been inspected.
