Description

The Cottage is a house located on Church Street in Wellesbourne Hastings. It dates from the 18th century, with extensive additions made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and features renewed tile roofs with brick end and ridge stacks. It has an irregular plan.

The exterior is two stories plus an attic, with a two-story wing and a three-window range facing the street. The entrance is located in a single-storey flat-roofed front extension, which includes an overlight above a six-panel door. The windows are horned sashes; the first floor features a segmental-headed window to the left with a wood mullioned and transomed casement, along with a similar imitation window. To the right, there is a three-light imitation wood mullion and transomed window. The roofs are gabled, and there are two attic dormers. At the rear, there is a timber-framed wing. The interior has not been inspected.
