Description
This is a house dating circa 1820, located on Chapel Street in Wellesbourne. It is constructed of brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with a gabled slate roof and a brick end stack. The original design was based on a single-unit plan.
The exterior has two storeys and a two-window front. A decorative dentil detail runs along the top of the brickwork. The front door is positioned to the right of centre and is framed by pilasters and an entablature with a hood-cornice. An overlight sits above a 20th-century front door. The ground floor windows have timber lintels and sills, featuring paired plate-glass panes and horn detailing. The first-floor windows are casements with two small panes. The left return side of the house has a window with a painted-out casement that includes pegged small panes and an iron opening mechanism. A rear lean-to outshut is also present.
The interior of the house was not inspected during the listing process.
