Description

Coopers is a house dating to circa 1857, built for Reverend John Lucy. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and blue brick diapering, featuring gabled fishscale tile roofs and brick end stacks with diagonal shafts and blue brick caps. The layout consists of a two-unit plan with a single-storey wing to the right.

The exterior presents a symmetrical two-window façade, with forward-projecting gables above the entrance, featuring enriched bargeboards with finials. The entrance has a segmental-headed opening with a rubbed brick cambered arch, a label mould, and an overlight with decorative glazing above a battened door. The ground floor windows are also segmental-headed with sills and rubbed brick cambered arches with label moulds, containing three-light transomed casements with decorative glazing, including octagons. Similar windows to the first floor have two-light casements. The single-storey right wing has two segmental-headed windows, one with a cross-casement and the other with a transomed casement.

The interior was not inspected.
