SP25SW ALVESTON 604-1/4/337 Cart shed approximately 70 metres north-north-west of Alveston Hill Farmhouse

GV II

Cart shed. 1772-97. Brick with tile roof. Single-storey, 3-bay, structure. Open front with 2 deep brick piers supporting roof trusses. Left return has 2 raking buttresses. Tie beam and collar trusses with raking queen struts, clasped purlins and halved and crossed ends. Part of an interesting example of a late C18 enclosure farmstead. Included for group value.
