Description
Ardencote is a house located in Weston-on-Avon, dating from the 17th century with alterations and an addition made in the late 20th century. The building features a timber frame with plastered infill set on a rubble plinth, topped by a steeply pitched half-hipped thatched roof with a brick stack at one end. It has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a three-window range on the front. The entrance, positioned to the right of the center, includes a plank door and flanking small square windows with late 20th-century glazing. To the left of the entrance, there is a group of three similar windows. The attic features two late 20th-century raking dormers with two-light casements. The right side of the building displays some exposed wattle and daub and has a small attic window. The left side is attached to a late 20th-century brick wing that has a tiled roof and a raking dormer. The interior has not been inspected.
