Description

The roving bridge over the Oxford Canal, located at SP 4353 5254, is an early 19th-century structure made of cast iron. It features two pairs of similar castings that create both the arch and the balustrade, with the footway and the underside of the arch constructed from cast plates. The bridge has a basket arch design, a slightly curved footway, and an openwork balustrade.
