Description

This is an early 18th-century house situated close to Rose Cottage (which is not part of this listed building). It is constructed of regular coursed limestone rubble, with an asbestos tile roof and a brick end and ridge stack, the end stack being a replacement. The house is single-storey with an attic, featuring a three-window front. The entrance is located at the rear. The ground floor has three three-light wood-mullioned windows with opening casements and wooden lintels. The attic has three similar windows, including a 20th-century replacement and renewed wooden lintels. A circular projection, likely an oven, has a stone slated roof and a small, reset cusped window. Internally, there are chamfered beams. A fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer and a four-centred stone arch is set within an inglenook. There is also a renewed staircase.
