Description
Badger's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations and extensions. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features steeply pitched 20th-century tile roofs. The building has a brick end stack on a stone base and a stone lateral stack to the right. It is two storeys plus an attic and has a U-shaped plan with a slightly recessed main block and side wings.
The ground floor includes a renewed three-light stone-mullioned window, two 20th-century French doors, a small stone-framed window, and another three-light stone-mullioned window to the right. The first floor features two- and three-light stone-mullioned windows, along with a wood casement window that has a wood lintel. There are five dormers in total, including two gable-front dormers and three roof dormers, all with stone mullions that lack hood moulds and label stops.
Inside, there is a wide inglenook fireplace with a chamfered beam and a stop-chamfered beam. It is said that a timber frame is revealed on the interior.
